A workspace layout captures the full state of the workspace canvas: panel types, positions, sizes, symbol assignments, and broadcast channel links. Layouts are stored in your account and restored exactly when you reload.

Saving a layout

  1. Arrange your workspace

Add panels, resize them, and configure symbol assignments to your preference.

  2. Click Save workspace

Click the Save workspace button in the toolbar, or press ⌘S / Ctrl+S.

  3. Name the layout

Enter a descriptive name. Examples: "Pre-market scan", "Earnings day", "Macro watch".

  4. Save

Click Save. The layout appears in your saved layouts list.

Loading a layout

Click the Layouts dropdown in the workspace toolbar to see your saved layouts. Click any layout name to load it. The canvas updates to match the saved state.

Replacing active panels

Loading a layout replaces all current panels. If you have unsaved changes, a confirmation prompt appears first. Click Discard and load to proceed, or Cancel to keep editing.

Managing layouts

Click Manage layouts in the dropdown to open the layout manager:

  • Rename — click the name to edit inline
  • Duplicate — copy a layout as a starting point for a new one
  • Delete — permanently remove a layout
  • Set as default — the default layout loads when you first open the workspace

Sharing layouts

Click the Share button in the toolbar to copy a shareable URL. The URL encodes the full layout state as a JSON snapshot in the query string.

Shared layouts and private data

Shared layout URLs do not include your portfolio data, watchlist contents, or any personal information. The recipient sees the same panel configuration but with their own data (or empty panels if they have no matching data).

Auto-save

The workspace auto-saves every 5 minutes to a temporary "Last session" slot. If your browser crashes or you close the tab accidentally, you can restore the last session from the Layouts dropdown by selecting Last session (auto-saved).

Layout versioning

Each save creates a new version. The layout manager shows the last 5 versions of each layout with timestamps. Click any version to restore it.
