Dashboard Widgets

Detailed reference for each of the five dashboard widgets.

On this page (5)

Each widget on the dashboard is an independent component that fetches its own data and renders asynchronously. A widget's loading skeleton appears while data is fetching; a retry button appears if the fetch fails.

Morning Brief

The morning brief is a 400–600 word AI-generated digest produced at 06:00 ET each trading day.

What it covers:

  • Overall market tone (risk-on / risk-off) with macro context
  • Top three news themes from the last 18 hours
  • Watchlist-specific commentary: which of your holdings are in the news
  • Key economic events happening today
  • One actionable research question based on the day's themes

Interaction:

  • Company names in the brief are linked to their instrument pages
  • Click Ask a follow-up to open the Chat panel pre-loaded with the brief as context
  • Rate the brief with thumbs up/down; your feedback trains the next generation

Watchlist scoping

The brief is scoped to your active watchlist. Instruments not in your watchlist may still appear if they are broadly market-moving, but instrument-specific commentary focuses on your holdings.

Sector Heatmap

The sector heatmap visualizes the 11 SPDR ETF sectors by percentage daily change, using a 7-step color scale:

ColorThreshold
Deep red≤ −2%
Red−2% to −1%
Light red−1% to −0.25%
Neutral gray−0.25% to +0.25%
Light green+0.25% to +1%
Green+1% to +2%
Deep green≥ +2%

Cell size is proportional to the sector's approximate market-cap weight in the S&P 500. Click any cell to open the Screener filtered to that sector.

Watchlist Movers

Displays all instruments in your active watchlist sorted by absolute percentage daily change — both gainers and losers appear, enabling at-a-glance scanning of what moved most today.

Each row shows: ticker, company name, last price, $ change, % change, and a directional sparkline for the last 5 trading days.

Economic Calendar

Shows the next 5 upcoming macro events with:

  • Event name (e.g. "US CPI MoM", "FOMC Rate Decision")
  • Release time in your local timezone
  • Consensus estimate vs. prior reading
  • Actual value (populated after release, highlighted green/red vs consensus)

Click any event to see a 12-month history of actuals vs. consensus for that indicator.

Prediction Markets

Shows the top 5 Polymarket prediction markets by 24-hour trading volume:

  • Market title (e.g. "Fed cuts rates in June 2026?")
  • YES probability as a large percentage figure
  • 24h volume in USD
  • Direction arrow showing probability change since yesterday

Category filter

Use the dropdown above the prediction markets widget to filter by category: Economics, Politics, Crypto, Sports, or All.
