The Transactions tab shows the full history of trades imported from your connected brokerage. Realized P&L is calculated using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.

FIFO P&L methodology

When you sell shares, Worldview allocates the cost basis to the earliest-purchased lot first. Example:

  • Lot 1: 10 shares at $100 (earliest)
  • Lot 2: 10 shares at $120
  • Sell 10 shares at $150

FIFO result: Realized P&L = ($150 − $100) × 10 = $500

Tax disclaimer

FIFO P&L calculations are for informational purposes only and are not tax advice. Actual tax treatment may differ based on your jurisdiction, wash-sale rules, and broker-reported cost basis. Consult a qualified tax professional for tax reporting.

Brokerage sync

Transactions are imported automatically from your connected brokerage via SnapTrade:

  • Initial sync — imports up to 12 months of history on first connection
  • Daily sync — new transactions appear within 24 hours of execution
  • Real-time sync — not currently supported (near-real-time via 5-minute polling)

Filtering transactions

  • Date range — Last 30d / 90d / 1Y / All time / Custom
  • Ticker — filter to a specific instrument
  • Action type — filter by BUY, SELL, DIVIDEND, etc.
  • Search — full-text search over ticker and company name

Exporting transactions

Click Export CSV in the toolbar to download the filtered transaction set as a comma-separated file. The export includes all visible columns plus the broker account name for multi-account setups.

Missing transactions

If transactions are missing, check the brokerage sync status in Settings → Brokerage. Some brokers limit the history window via their API (typically 12 months). Transactions outside that window are shown as "Position established before sync date" in the Holdings avg-cost calculation.
