The Alerts section (/alerts) lets you define rule-based conditions that fire notifications when market conditions change. Alert rules are evaluated continuously and delivered via WebSocket in real time.

Alert types

TypeTriggerExample
PriceAbsolute price level"AAPL crosses above $200"
Percent move% change from any reference"NVDA moves more than 5% in a day"
TechnicalIndicator level or crossover"SPY RSI drops below 30"
NewsKeyword or entity mention"Any news about 'Fed rate cut'"
PortfolioPortfolio-wide P&L threshold"My portfolio drops 3% in a day"

Alert severity

Each rule has a severity you set when creating it:

SeverityColorDelivery
LOWBlueIn-app WebSocket banner (auto-dismisses in 30s)
MEDIUMAmberIn-app WebSocket banner (auto-dismisses in 2 min)
HIGHOrangeIn-app WebSocket + email digest
CRITICALRedIn-app WebSocket (manual dismiss required) + immediate email

Email delivery timing

HIGH severity alerts are delivered in the next hourly email digest, not immediately. CRITICAL alerts trigger an immediate email. Configure email preferences in Settings → Notifications.

Alert lifecycle

  1. Draft — rule created, not yet enabled
  2. Active — rule is enabled and being evaluated
  3. Triggered — condition was met; the alert fired
  4. Snoozed — temporarily paused (resumes after a set time)
  5. Disabled — rule exists but is not being evaluated

Triggered alerts remain in your alert history for 90 days.
