Morning Brief

How the AI-generated morning brief works, what it covers, and how to ask follow-up questions.

On this page (9)

The morning brief is Worldview's daily AI-generated intelligence digest. It is produced once per trading day at 06:00 ET and cached until the following generation.

Generation pipeline

The brief is produced by a multi-step RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipeline:

  1. News retrieval — the top 30 articles from the last 18 hours are fetched, ranked by AI relevance score and news routing tier
  2. Entity extraction — named entities (companies, executives, regulators, macro indicators) are identified in each article
  3. Watchlist matching — articles mentioning your watchlist instruments are flagged as high-priority
  4. Economic events — today's macro calendar events are pulled and formatted
  5. Generation — DeepSeek R1 Distill 32B synthesizes all context into a structured brief
  6. Citations — every factual claim is attributed to the source article using [N] inline citation markers

Brief structure

A typical morning brief follows this structure:

Market tone

A 1-2 sentence overall read on macro conditions (risk-on/risk-off, equity vs. bond behavior, USD direction).

Top themes

Three numbered themes dominating the news, each with a 2-3 sentence summary and citations.

Your watchlist

Instrument-specific commentary: which holdings are in the news, what catalysts are active, and any earnings/events coming up.

Today's calendar

Key economic releases and events happening today, with consensus vs. prior expectations.

Research question

One forward-looking question the AI surfaces as worth investigating, based on the day's patterns.

Interacting with the brief

Follow-up questions — Click Ask a follow-up below the brief to open the Chat panel with the brief text pre-loaded as context. You can ask "why is AAPL down?" or "what does the CPI print mean for tech?" and the AI answers with the full brief as background.

Company links — Company names mentioned in the brief are hyperlinked to their instrument pages. Click to open the chart directly.

Rating — Use the thumbs up/down widget at the bottom of the brief to rate its quality. Ratings improve future generations for your account.

Portfolio questions

To get portfolio-scoped analysis, ask the AI "What should I be watching in my portfolio this week?" in the Chat panel. It reads your current holdings from the Portfolio service and combines them with live news context.
